Trip 2 - Day 3

Team A = We did the Precipice walk, then canoeing - Canoeing was best as we got in the water and had lots of fun.

Team B = We canoed and 'walked the plank' (ie jumping in the water). Then we did the low ropes. The zip wire was good and we did it forwards then backwards.

Team C = Rock climbing is awesome. We then went rockpooling and found a blackfish.

We all went to the beach again and had a massive game of cricket and another ice-cream!

Trip 2 - Day 2

What a scorcher! Barmouth is beautiful in the sun. Who knew? We climbed and rockpooled and the lucky ones got to canoe in the lake. All went down to the beach for Ice cream and football. Mr Summerhayes scored a header that was worthy of the mighty Wales team. The phrase 'this was the best night of my year' was heard.

Trip 1 - Day 4

We finished our awesome trip with a waterfall walk, the ropes course and rock climbing. Barmouth Slabs in the sunshine was beautiful. We found some more gold on the walk! The trip back was a little longer than expeceted due to an unforseen stop off in Welshpool. But we had a great time and learnt a lot about ourselves and what we can achieve... And how to dab!

Trip 2 - Day 1

Well what a crazy day! The weather has been fantastic, really hot. We started the day leaving Idsall and travelling to Church Stretton to walk up our 'house hills' (Longmynd, Caradoc or Ragleth). All of the walks were rather challenging due to the steep climb and the challenging weather. Everyone did really well.

Once arrving back at school, we were all ready to set off to Plas C. Leaving a little later than planned we all arrived safely. Everyone was really hungry when we arrived so we got straight in and tucked into some lovely homemade food.

After eating we found our rooms and unpacked before completing our evening activity. We then split up into three teams. The evening activity consisted of the teams competing to firstly build the tallest tower and then create an egg parachute. Miss Gubbins' team were best at creating the egg catcher and Mr Summerhayes/Mrs Levrington's group won creating the tallest tower.

Trip 1 - Day 3

We started off the day bright and early, feeling more tired and aggravated then normal. Proceeding on we started the activites and got changed into our clothes for the day. We all walked down to the minibus which took us away to the lake to start canoeing.

Setting up the boats and carrying them down took a while but we finally managed to get into the water. Some of the pairs were quite successful but some however started floating away. After a while of being taught how to canoe, we decided to each have a go at capsizing. We all ended up feeling very cold and looked forward for the forthcoming warm shower back at Plas Cardeon.

Are second activity was the high ropes. We all had to get our equipment on and go into the woods. The zipwire was high above a stream. We all took turns to fly down the zipwire doing dabs and any other actions we could think of. Walking deeper in to the woods we spotted the high ropes. Picking our partners we started on the easier version flying through that. We then took turns to do the adult version, which was a lot harder.

The day wasn't finished there though as we headed down to the beach. Everyone was having a great time. Nearby was an amazing ice cream shop so we walked there. We all took turns to buy one of the many different varieties of ice cream. Which was a great way to finish off the day along with a run on the beach.
